Health Transformation Work Plan Summary

Resolution #2023-05

The Anishinabek Chiefs-in-Assembly have passed a number of resolutions since 2016 to explore Health Transformation, including the most recent resolution #2020-15 titled, “Health Transformation Model Development & Access to Information”.

Anishinabek Nation Health Transformation Team prepares for engagement sessions with Anishinabek Nation First Nations leadership

ANISHINABEK NATION TERRITORY – The Anishinabek Nation’s Health Transformation Team has expanded their knowledge-base after attending the Gathering Wisdom for a Shared Journey forum hosted by the B.C. First Nations Health Authority in February. The Team witnessed the governance structure in action as nearly 200 Chiefs voted on the resolution to ratify a historic document: a 10-year Strategy on the Social Determinants of Health.

Working Group members come together in North Bay

Health Transformation Working Group gathers for first in-person session

SAULT STE. MARIE – The Anishinabek Nation’s Health Transformation Team held their first in-person Working Group meeting in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., on July 5 and 6. The group of health experts had a productive two days working on their vision statement, mission statement, and discussing the list of frequently asked questions.
