Provide First Nations with control over all Federal Health programs and funding;
Partner with the Ministry of Health (Ontario) to improve health services provided to Anishinabek.
We see an organization controlled by 39 communities representing over 70,000 people and partnering with other First Nation organizations in achieving our mutual goal of improving the health of Anishinabek.
The work of the Health Transformation Team is to engage with the communities and build an organization which will be community-based and nation-driven.
We will assume control of the Federal First Nation Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) programs and partner with the Ontario Ministry of Health to advocate for better health services for Anishinabek.
